Dear clients,

 

Like many of you, we at Sky (Sky Pilates, Sky Physiotherapy and Sky Movement Education) have been closely monitoring the developments regarding the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Singapore. As of 7 February 2020, the government has elevated the DORSCON level to ORANGE. (please refer to the Singapore Ministry of Health’s (MOH) website https://www.moh.gov.sg/covid-19 for updated information). We appreciate the seriousness of the situation, and have added measures to comply with the government’s advisories, and to safeguard the health and well-being of you and all who are at Sky.

 

The following additional measures to those implemented by Sky on 27 and 30 January 2020 will take effect from 10 February 2020 Monday:

  1. All persons coming to Sky will have their temperatures taken. Anyone with temperatures above 37.5 degrees centigrade will not be allowed to attend classes or sessions at Sky. Do avoid taking medication to suppress any symptoms. 
  2. Anyone who is unwell should refrain from coming to Sky. Sky reserves the right to refuse anyone from attending any classes or bookings they have made if they exhibit any signs of illness, not limited to fever, runny nose/congestion, cough, shortness of breath and other symptoms of cold or influenza. Please seek medical attention and stay home to rest. Sky will waive any cancellations of classes even if you give less than 24 hours’ notice, and if you produce a doctor’s medical certificate. 
  3. You will be asked to declare your travel history. If you have recently travelled to any of the following countries, we would ask that you refrain from coming to Sky for 14 days after your return to cut down on any risk of transmission.
  • China (including Macau and Hong Kong)
  • Republic of Korea
  • Italy
  • Iran
  • Japan
  • France
  • Germany
  • Spain
  1. We also ask that you declare and refrain from coming to Sky if:

a. You were on a flight or cruise ship or other transport where there was a suspected or confirmed case of nCoV in one of the fellow passengers;

b. You fall into any of the following categories, or has been in close contact with anyone who falls under the following categories:

  • someone feeling unwell at home,
  • a confirmed case, 
  • a suspect case, 
  • placed under Home Quarantine Order,  
  • on a Leave of Absence (voluntary or mandated), or
  • being closely monitored by MOH as being a close contact of a confirmed case,
  • has close contact with someone who returned from mainland China.

c. You have had any close contact with the following clusters of local transmission:

  • The private business meeting held at The Grand Hyatt Singapore from 20 to 22 January 2020 (allegedly by Servomex UK);
  • The Chinese medicine clinic Yong Thai Hang at Cavan Road;
  • The Life Church and Missions Singapore, Paya Lebar;
  • Seletar Aerospace Heights Construction Site;
  • Grace Assembly of God Church
  • Wizlearn Technologies Pte Ltd in Science Park 2

d. In the event of any failure by any persons to disclose any relevant information which may endanger the health and safety of all staff and clients at Sky, Sky has the right to deny access and services to such persons.

  5. Sky reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any session, or to change or replace a teacher without any prior notice if in Sky’s opinion, that is the best  course of action to ensure the health and safety of its staff and clients, as well as to comply with government and WHO advisories.

  6. If you feel unwell, do seek medical attention promptly. Sky will waive any charges for cancelations received with less than 24 hours’ notice, and will also extend the validity of any packages you purchased accordingly (upon production of said medical certificate).

 

Measures undertaken by Sky to ensure your well-being during this period:

  1. Temperature taking of all staff, clients and visitors to Sky. Staff members will have their temperatures taken twice a day.
  2. Increased frequency of cleaning of premises and equipment (equipment will be wiped down hourly or immediately after use).
  3. Hand sanitisers are provided for your use. You are advised to wash your hands both BEFORE and AFTER class, and to avoid touching your face or hair to avoid any potential transmission.
  4. Staff will be wearing a mask at all times. Teachers who are unwell will be asked to avoid coming to Sky and instead to seek medical attention promptly. We would request you extend the same courtesy to those at Sky.
  5. Staff have been asked to avoid all non-essential travel. Those who have visited China, Macau, Hong Kong, Korea, Italy, Iran, Japan, France, Germany and Spain will be asked to self-quarantine and avoid coming to Sky for 14 days after their return. 

 

The situation is a developing one and we will be updating and revising our protocols as necessary from time to time. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding, as well as for your support, during this period, and apologise for any inconvenience caused due to these extenuating circumstances. Let’s all play our part in being socially responsible and help keep Singapore and Sky a safe and healthy place for one and all.
